Second Fordham Prep school student jumps in front of a train in New York
A 16-year-old boy has become the second student at a $19,000-a-year New York prep school to jump in front of a train in two weeks.
The teenager from the Jesuit-run, all-boys Fordham Prep in the Bronx, who has not been named, was hit at 3.30pm on Monday by a northbound MTA train at a station nearby.
On January 18, Owen Kelly, a sophomore, was struck and killed by a Metro-North train at Philipse Manor station in Sleepy Hollow.
Thousands of commuters were stranded at Grand Central Terminal as a result of the police investigation at the Botanical Gardens stop.

Passengers were left elbow-to-elbow in the transport hub with some trains delayed by more than an hour.
However some passengers told NBC New York when they heard what had happened, they didn't mind waiting.
The MTA says it will have additional police officers on station platforms near Fordham Prep Tuesday.
Rev. Christopher J. Devron, SJ, President of Fordham Preparatory School, said: 'The sudden and tragic death of a member of our sophomore class last evening has deeply shocked and saddened the entire Fordham Prep community. We are in close contact with the young man’s family and have assured them that our prayers, sympathy and support are with them in their time of need.
'In order to support and care for our community during this difficult time, Fordham Prep will be providing trained experts and grief counselors to meet with students, faculty, staff, and parents.
'We will also host a parent meeting at which specialists and members of the Prep’s Crisis Team will address their concerns and questions.'
It is not known whether the two incidents were connected.
The school was established in 1841 and has around 950 teenage boys attending classes. As part of the curriculum, students have to complete up to 70 hours of community service.
Classes at the school started later on Tuesday following an early-morning faculty meeting.
Earlier this month, the school held a service for Kelly who was fatally struck in a similar manor.
An online obituary for him read: 'A sophomore at Fordham Preparatory School in the Bronx, he was an honor student and member of the junior varsity hockey team.
'He was a community volunteer and worked during the summer at the Tarry Crest Swimming and Tennis Club and the Philipse Manor Beach Club.
'He was a counselor-in-training at Camp Shankitunk in Delhi, New York.'
