Almost Owen releases new track 'Something In You'

Publish date: 2024-04-29

Isaac Haselkorn, better known as Almost Owen, is back with his latest track, ‘Something In You’.

Paying homage to John Mayer’s Continuum days, in addition to the lyricism and self awareness of Paul Simon, ‘Something In You’ is a folk-pop release which sees Almost Owen opening up about the difficulties of letting go.

Written, produced and recorded by the artist in his bedroom studio, just outside of Boston, ‘Something In You’ is a breezy and happy-go-lucky offering from Almost Owen which many will be able to resonate with.

‘Something In You’ is the latest offering from Almost Owen, with more new music expected from him throughout 2019. The track follows on from a remix package for his previous single ‘I Should Know Better’.

Almost Owen began his musical journey as a drummer in dive bars and jazz clubs from the age of 11. He later went on to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music where he caught the attention of Grammy Award winning musicians Jamey Haddad and Danilo Perez.

By connecting with both Jamey and Danilo, Almost Owen was later included in studio sessions, tours and performances with Paul Simon, Wayne Shorter, Joe Lovano and a string of other jazz legends. Sharing their advice with the artist, they encouraged him to see the world and perform as much as possible.

Taking their advice seriously, Almost Owen spent four years on the road, performing over 500 shows across 12 countries. Now, he is back in Boston and making a huge name for himself, with The Improper Bostonian naming him one of the 25 most influential personalities in the city.

Having recently performed for the United Nations and the Human Rights Campaign, 2019 looks set to be another remarkable year for Almost Owen, and we can’t wait to hear what else he has in store for us over the coming months.
