After Season 10, Jesse Lee Soffer Will Leave Chicago P.D
The actor who plays Detective Jay Halstead on Chicago P.D. is the most recent to declare their departure from the NBC police drama. Soffer, 38, announced on Monday to Variety that season 10 will be his final.
The opening line of Soffer’s statement published, “I would like to applaud the amazing audiences for their constant support over the past ten years and would like to give special thanks to Dick Wolf, everybody at Wolf Entertainment, Peter Jankowski, Matt Olmstead, Derek Haas, Michael Brandt, Rick Eid, Gwen Sigan, NBC, Universal Television, my colleague castmates, and our amazing team.
Everybody involved in the production of the show has put their heart and soul into making this hour-long drama each week, he continued. “My time as Det. Jay Halstead is something I will always be proud of.” Soffer responded to the issue on Twitter and assured followers that the information was accurate.
He wrote, “This is true and sad.” “I just want to express my gratitude to all of my supporters. We do it for you people; that’s why! It has been a privilege. I adore you all.”
One of the most famous people on the show is Soffer. He was a founding member of the show’s original cast when it first aired in 2014. Soffer has become a well-known detective over time, and the fact that he has appeared in every Chicago P.D. episode to date attests to his importance on the show.
According to the Internet Movie Database, he also made an appearance in the One Chicago crossovers, which included 18 episodes of Chicago Fire and 28 episodes of Chicago Med.
Soffer declined to say why he was quitting the show. Furthermore, IMDb does not presently show any of his upcoming projects.
In a previous post, the Star of the NBC drama series Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Justice Jon Seda announced his departure from the series on Instagram on Saturday. Colin Donnell and Norma Kuhling, two more Chicago Med actors, will also leave the series along with Seda.
